God of Hope

Posted on Updated on

Hope

It seems to be what people are looking for most.  Our Holocaust Survivor friends experienced the worst life could offer, and all these years later, what they still need is hope.  Many of the Ukrainian children who come to camp are refugees, desperate for hope.  The couple whose baby was just stillborn.  The man whose wife just left him.  The woman who just heard the word cancer for the first time.  The drug addict.  The alcoholic.  The teen who thinks of suicide.  Those who find themselves in a never-ending circle of depression…

They all need hope.

And that’s just what God gives.

May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.    – Romans 15:13

The secret to finding hope is actually simpler than you might think.  Trust in God.  Completely.  He will be your guide through the good and the bad – filling you with joy and peace and overflowing you with hope even in your darkest days.  The Message puts Peter’s description of living hope like this: “Because Jesus was raised from the dead,  we’ve been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven – and the future starts now!  God is keeping careful watch over us and the future.  The day is coming when you’ll have it all – life healed and whole.  (1 Peter 1:3)

God’s Word has so much more to say about hope.  Click here to keep reading.   If you’ve never put your trust in God and aren’t sure how to do that, I hope you will reach out to one of us or head over to hear Greg Robbins speak on How Do I Become A Christian?

2019 Mission Necklace (1)

This year’s Mission Necklace is a simple message of hope.  If you’re searching for it, maybe this can be a little daily reminder of where you’ll find it – in God alone.

If you’re already there, let this necklace remind you to always be ready to give a reason for the hope that you have. (1 Peter 3:15)  Maybe it will even spark that conversation.  If you get that chance, give your necklace away and share your story with me.  I’ll be thrilled to replace it for free.

All proceeds from sales of these necklaces support our mission work, getting us on a plane to spread hope beyond our boarders.
