Shop Small – Give Big
Gift giving season is upon us. The shopping, commercials, and decorations have arrived too early in my opinion. I’m a firm believer in Thanksgiving having the attention it deserves, the attention we need to give it. But that soapbox aside, the Christmas Bazaars are here and The Journey Back Mission Store will be open for your gift-giving needs. Which brings me to another thing I’ve become passionate about… shopping local small businesses, handmade and nonprofits – “Shop Small” as they say. When you choose to buy gifts from people like us, you’re giving big.
Your gift means even more to the recipient because it is unique, handmade and carefully designed.
Your gift means something to us – you’re supporting our mission, helping us do what we love to do and what we believe we’ve been called to do.
Your gift means something to the Holocaust survivors, Ukrainian children, camp and churches who will receive our message of love and hope.
Isn’t that better than growing the bottom line of a big company? I’ll admit that a number of my gifts this Christmas will come from Walmart and Amazon. But where I can, I’ll be shopping small, and I hope you will too.
The Journey Back Mission Store will be set up and well stocked at these great local events:
You can preview and even claim your goods online by clicking here, but we will have a number of items only available at these in-person sales. Come see us!
Farmhouse Preserves Now Available!
My mom has been hard at work in her farmhouse kitchen again this year to support our 2018 mission. We have over 300 jars to sell, enough to cover the cost of two plane tickets if we sell them all! New this year… The Sampler! Get a variety pack of 4 oz jars for just $15! A perfect gift!
This is what is missing from your Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners!
Purchase here or post a comment to claim yours for offline buying. We’ll also have them for sale and pick up at our upcoming craft fair sales. Final date for purchase is December 15 or while supplies last (you might want to hurry!) Shipping isn’t recommended on this one, but if you’re not local (and willing to risk it) I’ll try to get them to you in one piece! Please add the shipping fee at the bottom to your cart to cover the added cost.
There are lots of other great finds available in our mission store. Do your gift shopping with us this season!
