Good News!
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. Luke 2:10-11
This Christmas season, I’ve been thinking about our Holocaust Survivor friends. Several of them are Messianic Jews who have accepted Christ as the Savior, but many of them have not. They have missed this good news. Despite all of the prophecy, I can understand it. It is such a strange way to save the world by our human understanding. I am grateful that we have a chance to spend time with them. We pray that their time in Ostróda might open their eyes to see that this little baby, born in the town of David, is the Messiah. And that changes everything.
We have a little bit of good news ourselves! Through to a few generous donors, mission store sales, and our own savings, we have enough to purchase our airfare for the 2017 trip! It is wonderful to be over this first hurdle before the end of the year. Thank you to all of our Senders. We are so grateful for you.
So let us all be like the shepherds – let us glorify and praise God for all that we have seen and heard.
