Without Words

Posted on Updated on

Today was a very solemn day.  We took a journey back to Sutthof Concentration Camp with the Holocaust Survivors. This was my third visit to this place with people who lived through the horrors that happened there.  I have found that the experience leaves me very quiet.  It is partially that I don’t have the words to express what I’m thinking and feeling, and partially because I simply don’t feel like talking.  My heart aches and my head hurts with the knowledge that as horrid as I understand and imagine it, the reality was infinitely worse.  So I will leave you by simply asking that you pray for healing, remembrance, and for them to find the hope that comes through Christ.

Tomorrow I will find time to break my silence and tell you some of the memoirs we have heard.

Seeing this picture makes me so deeply sad…..I can’t imagine actually seeing it in person. Praying as always.
