Let The Journey Begin
I had intended to write a nicely thought-out, blog post last night reflecting on this adventure in serving God.
I had intended to lead the kids through the last week of Missionary Boot Camp, where we would focus on learning about the culture we’re visiting.
I had intended to get a long, good night of sleep and leave the house this morning in spotless perfection.
None of those things happened.
But Pat and Janet have delivered us safely to the Chicago airport and we’re waiting comfortably for flight check-in. Once our bags are checked, we’ll find our way to eat a nice filling Italian meal before we board our overnight flight to the land of cabbage. Thank you so much to all who have e-mailed, sent texts and called to tell us you’re praying for our journey. Those prayers are just as important to the work we’ll be doing as the funds were to get us here, and we are grateful for them. We ask that you pray Acts 1:8 for us, the verse my dear friend Janine sent to encourage me this morning…
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.”

You will be daily in my prayers. May God bless your trip and the hearts of those you will meet. Travel safe!
Love,
Mandy 🙂
